- 1 1/2 cups Rice (I used sona masoori) –
- 3 cups Water
- 1 cup Onion
- Tomato – 1 cup (addition)
- Green Peas – 1/2 cup (addition)
- coriander leaves – 2 cups
- tbsp Ghee -1/2
- Cumin seeds – 1/2 tbsp (addition)
- Curry leaves – 1 tbsp (addition)
- Green chilli – 3 nos., (slit)
- 1/2 cup Roasted and crushed peanuts
- to taste Salt
- To Powder together :
- 1/2 tsp Black pepper corns
- Green cardamom – 2 nos.,
- Cloves – 6 nos.,
- Cinnamon – 1″ piece
Steps to make to make Coriander LEAVES PULAV
- Powder together all the ingredients under the heading â€Å“to powder togetherâ€, heat ghee in a cooker and add in cumin seeds, curry leaves, powdered masala and let it crackle, now add in chopped onions and fry till translucent
- Now add in slit green chilli and fresh green Peas, saute for a while
- Add in tomato and saute it again
- Add in washed rice & required amount of salt and combine everything well
- Now add in 3 cups of water and let it come to boil (you can also use hot water instead)
- Finally put coriander leaves and close the lid
- Pressure cook till done (one whistle is enough in my cooker), remove from the fire, once it is cooled transfer it to a serving dish, and sprinkle roasted & crushed peanuts
